Dance, Jump, Sing, and Believe

Whoops! It pays to look at the calendar closely, readers, let me tell ya. For some bizarre reason I thought I had two more November weeks to work with, when in reality there was only one. With the holiday crunch in full swing, it looks as though I will have to close out this year’s writings with a brief post about music. None of them are Christmas melodies, in case you were worried. I will save that for December. 😉

The songs below may be oldies but they are definitely goodies. What can I say? Modern tunes rarely have the soul these great pieces do. They will be played well into the future, I am sure, while the songs written in the present will forever remain here.

Enjoy the music, readers!

‘Til next time,

Oldies But Goodies

Here are some more tunes to get you rockin’ and rollin’, readers! Call me a nostalgist or a retroist or a whatever-you-wish, there is no way to beat those oldies but goodies. Rap’s got nothing on these songs which charm and inspire, lifting minds to the higher things in life even though some of them aren’t exactly perfect.

So take some time to “listen to the music,” readers, and may these songs bring many smiles to your faces in the future!

Sing a Spell

I am not a musical person. I could not play an instrument to save my life – which may be the reason why I enjoy listening to music so much. There are several songs I can pick out by the introductory notes. Although it may take me a while to recall the name of the song, I will recognize it on some level and be able to start singing it – sometimes long after the song is over.

For your aural pleasure, readers, stop and enjoy some of the music below. Maybe you’ll be able to sing these songs later on, too. 😉
