Unforgettable Anime Themes

Below are just some of the anime themes I have heard. Zoids, of course, is at the top of the list because it is my favorite anime ever. If an anime cannot at least reach the level of New Century Zero, then this writer is not going to consider it great. Good, yes, but cream of the crop? That is something which the writers and animators have to work for.

Admittedly, this writer has yet to check out Dr. Stone and Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs. But the intros for these anime have impressed her enough that she is going to view them. She gave up on Fairy Tail; it just didn’t grab her, though the first intro theme still makes her happy.

Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress is a solid winner, though it doesn’t rate too high on the list of best anime ever. At one season plus a movie (really three episodes strung together), it does not have a lot of room to reach its full potential. Hopefully more than the movie Battle of Unato is in the future for this series; then it might reach greater heights. But for now it is a solid, watchable anime – despite the zombies. 😛

And yes, Zoids: Chaotic Century’s English and Japanese intros are here. They both earned this spot because they are just that good. The original intro for Zoids: Genesis is here because while I don’t like the series, the theme song is darn catchy. I couldn’t get it out of my head for a long, long time. Now you won’t be able to, either. 😉

Have fun with the music, readers!

‘Til next time,

More Oldies But Goodies

Here are some more “oldies but goodies” for you to enjoy, readers! Is it just me, or is this stuff better than a lot of the newer music being produced by a lot of companies today?

Don’t get me wrong – I like several new artists very, very much. But they’re few and far between; music like this just strikes a better chord with me. (Pun intended, more or less.) There’s just something about these songs that makes them superior to a lot of the new noise being created now, in my opinion.

Anyway, here are some “retro” tunes to brighten your day, readers. Enjoy!

Yes, I saw the film Mamma Mia! No, that is not where I first heard ABBA. Did you know ABBA was offered about a billion dollars to go on tour again, but they all turned the offer down? Talk about class!

Want to know something else interesting? Not one member of ABBA could speak English when they were originally performing. They memorized and sang the words for their songs, but they did not actually understand English. You would never know that when you heard them perform, though! 🙂

Okay, history lesson over. Go have fun thanking ABBA for the music!

American Soldier

This is a song by Toby Keith.  It is one which I think I may have known of for some time, though I did not learn the title for it until relatively recently.

The video that goes with the song tends to bring tears to my eyes when I watch it.  I love the United States military to pieces, especially the Navy and the Marines.  What can I say? Jarheads and Squids are AMAZING!!!  The SEALs are, too, of course.  I can’t forget them.  😉

But the scene in this video that I especially enjoy is the shot of the Doughboy as he takes the crucifix he is wearing around his neck, kisses it, then puts it down his shirt front before charging over the trench wall.  It makes my eyes water every time.

I hope you enjoy the video and the song, readers.  God bless America, God bless our troops, and God bless you!

A City with Rhythm (And Other Disney Favorites)

Those who have not seen at least one Disney movie in their lives are deprived people. Some probably do not even realize this fact! (Yes, Mr. Kilmeade, I am talking about you!)

So, for those who are deprived and for those of you who are old fans, here are some Disney songs to make you smile. They are a mixture of old and new; you will find Peter Pan and Elsa rubbing elbows below, whilst Rapunzel joins the other princesses for tea. And do not be surprised if a few Dalmatians and lions show up. This is Disney, after all! Anything is possible! 😉
